Located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, Sagres known for superb coastal location, rugged cliffs and long hours of sunshine throughout the year.
Sagres is of historical importance as it is associated with Prince Henry the Navigator, a key figure in the Age of Discovery.
One of the main attractions in the town is the Sagres Fortress, also known as Fortaleza de Sagres. The fortress was likely built in the 15th century.
