Paço de Arcos Station
Paço de Arcos Station in western Lisbon close to the River Tagus is a station on the Cascais Line (Linha de Cascais) from Cais do Sodré Station to Cascais Station in Cascais.
It serves the pretty district of Paço de Arcos in Oeiras and is also a hub for local buses and taxis. Trains from Cais do Sodré to Paço de Arcos take 19 minutes.
Facilities
On weekdays the ticket office is open from 7.15 am to 7.45 pm; on weekends and public holidays the ticket office also opens from 7.15 am to 7.45 pm.
There is a small bar/cafe, an ATM and toilets. A lift to the platforms provides barrier-free access to the trains.

The standout place to stay in Paço de Arcos is the 5-star Hotel Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos. This wonderful hotel occupies a former 15th century palace and features a swimming pool, recommended restaurant and a fitness center. The palace, which was restored in the 17th century and reopened as a hotel in 2013, gave its name to the municipality. Legend has it that it was from here that King Manuel I would watch his ships sailing up and down the River Tagus during the Age of Discovery.
Other places to say include the 4-star Hotel Solar Palmeiras set in an old manor house with an outdoor pool and B&B HOTEL Lisboa Oeiras, close to Parque dos Poetas.

Paço de Arcos District
There are several pretty streets near the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos and the now restored Jardim Palácio dos Arcos.
A recommended place to dine is Dízima's with a Michelin star at Rua Costa Pinto 17 (Tel: +351 21 446 2965). The restaurant is housed in an historic building once used to collect taxes from shipping on the river.
Just under a kilometer west of the station is the charming Parque dos Poetas - an urban sculpture park. Parque dos Poetas covers 22.5 hectares and has sculptures of 60 Portuguese poets, dramatists and writers by 40 different sculptors. There are also tremendous views down to the River Tagus below. The space is divided into three historical zones. These are early Troubadours to Renaissance poets, Baroque to Romantic poets and 20th century poets. The park was completed in stages from 1998 to 2015.
Poets featured include Gil Vicente, Luís de Camões, Manuel Maria Barbosa du Bocage, Almeida Garrett, Florbela Espanca, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, Violante do Céu, Guerra Junqueiro, Mário de Sá-Carneiro, Fernando Pessoa, and Ruy Belo.
