Nerja in southern Spain lies on the Costa del Sol east of Malaga and south of Granada.
This pleasant place has a population of around 20,000 inhabitants and is in the province of Malaga in Andalusia.
The city is 400 km east of Ayamonte and the border with Portugal, the River Guadiana, and the Portuguese town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Malaga is 57 km to the west and Granada is 90 km north on the A-44 and A-7. Sevilla is over 250 km away on the A-92. The nearest airport is Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport.
