Portugal Buses: Evora Bus Station

The main bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Évora) in Évora is just to the west of the old town, adjacent to the Cemitério de Évora (cemetery). It is a short walk to Jardim Público de Évora and about 15 minutes on foot to the Chapel of Bones (Capela dos Ossos).
Both local and intercity buses call here as well as buses from the capital Lisbon running east to Badajoz and Madrid in Spain.

Long Distance Routes
Long distance buses operated by Rede Expressos connect Sete Rios bus station in Lisbon with Évora in around 2 hours. There are also direct Rede Expressos buses to Albufeira (3 hours, 10 minutes), Beja, Castro Verde, Elvas (40 minutes), Estremoz (40 minutes), Faro (4 hours), Mértola (3 hours, 30 minutes), Portalegre (90 minutes), Serpa (2 hours), Setúbal (1 hour, 35 minutes), and Quarteira. In addition to the bus from Sete Rios there are also buses from Oriente bus station in the capital which is closer to Lisbon Aeroport and connects by metro.
For many destinations in the center and north of the country such as Chaves, Coimbra, Fatima, Guarda (6 hours), and Porto etc, change buses at Sete Rios in Lisbon.
For Santiago do Cacém and Sines, change at Setubal. For Vila Real de Santo António change in Albufeira.

Local Buses
Transportes do Alentejo Central (TPAC) has more local buses to Alandroal, Arraiolos, Feixo, Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, Redondo, Setubal, Valverde and Vila Viçosa.
Trevo (Transportes Rodoviários de Évora) operates smaller mini buses around Évora and to outlying suburbs and villages. The Linha Azul Norte is a circular bus around town convenient for getting to the Templo Romano, the University and other sights in Evora.
Rodoviária do Alentejo has a service to the beach at Comporta on the Troia Peninsula (in the summer only) as well as Borba, Estremoz, Evoramonte and other destinations.
