Slide & Splash is the fore-runner of the several, excellent water parks in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, having celebrated 30 years in business in 2016.
Slide & Splash is especially popular with families with young children and provides a safe and supervised environment where parents can relax without the risks of the open sea.
Slide & Splash in Lagoa near Portimão and the beach resorts of Praia da Rocha, Ferragudo and Carvoeiro has been providing aquatic family fun for over 30 years.
Slide & Splash claims to be the biggest water park in Portugal and one of the biggest in Europe, though Aqualand near Albufeira likes to compete in the "biggest" stakes.
Slide & Splash offers a superb range of state-of-the-art slides, water chutes, and pools in addition to a variety of animal shows: falcons, reptiles and tropical birds.
The kids will love spending the day playing on such amazing rides as the Tornado, Kamikaze, Big Wave, and the Black Hole. Visitors can choose from a variety of restaurants, rent sun loungers and parasols and receive free parking.

During the season buses circulate to Slide & Splash from Quarteira and Vilamoura, Albufeira, São Rafael, Galé, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro, Ferragudo, Alvor, Praia Rocha, Portimão, Burgau, Praia da Luz, Lagos, Sagres, Salema and Sotavento.

Sand City Lagoa is only 5 km down the road to the east.
Accommodation in Carvoeiro
Accommodation in Carvoeiro is abundant and a mix of top end resorts plus rental homes, villas and apartments.
Some recommended places to stay are Quinta do Paraíso, Monte Santo Resort, both firmly at the top end of the scale with large pools and restaurants, ideal for a family holiday.
The Carvoeiro Hotel is 10 minutes from the beach and has a pool, garden, restaurant and bar. Also recommended is Hello Villas with an outdoor pool and a children's pool in a garden setting.
