There are fine views over the River Tagus from the top of Torre de Belem in the Belem district of western Lisbon. The river is the longest both in Portugal and Iberia as a whole.
Parts of the Tagus Valley between Spain and Portugal are designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
