Terreiro do Paço Station in Lisbon is on the Linha Azul (Blue Line) of the Lisbon metro (Metropolitano de Lisboa). Terreiro do Paço metro station opened in 2007.
The station also connects with the Transtejo & Soflusa ferry port with frequent ferries across the River Tagus to Barreiro.
The journey across the river takes about 25 minutes. Passengers can use their Via Viagem Card on the journey (see below). The standard fare is 2.45 Euros for adults.


Schedule
From Terreiro do Paço there are Transtejo Soflusa boats from 5.30 am until 2 am. At peak periods there are 6-7 crossings an hour.
From Barreiro there are departures from 5.05 am until 1.30 am.
There are much reduced services on weekends and public holidays.

Onward Connections
Barreiro ferry terminal connects with Barreiro Station on Av. de Sapadores with onward trains on the Sado Line to Setúbal Station and Praça do Quebedo in the city of Setúbal.
There are also trains on the Alentejo Line to Beja and the Linha de Évora to Évora.
Trains on the Linha do Sul connect with Finisher and then Tunes on the Algarve Line (Linha do Algarve) for trains to Faro, Lagos Station in Lagos, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo Antonio Station in Vila Real de Santo Antonio.

Nearby
The station is within easy walking distance of Praça do Comércio and the Arco da Rua Augusta. It is right in the tourist heart of Lisbon.
The other major ferry terminals on the northern bank of the Tagus are at Cais do Sodre Ferry Terminal, just south of Cais do Sodre Station and Belem (Estação Fluvial de Belem) in the Belem district of the city.
Santa Apolonia is the next station heading east on the metro. Local services run to Gare do Oriente Station on the Azambuja Line for the Parque Das Nações.
There are also trains from here to other destinations including Braga, Coimbra, Porto, Guimarães and Fatima. Express trains to Porto depart from Santa Apolónia Station calling at Gare do Oriente.
Nearby attractions are the Museu Militar and the Museu Nacional do Azulejo.
Via Viagem
A good way of getting around on the Lisbon metro is to purchase a Viva Viagem card. This is a rechargeable electronic card that can be used on Lisbon's metro, buses (except the AeroBus to and from Lisbon Airport), ferries, trams and urban trains to and from Sintra and Cascais. The Viva Viagem card costs 0.50 cents to first buy and is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
