Coina Station (Estação Ferroviária de Coina)
Coina Station is a railway station south of the River Tagus and south of the city of Lisbon.
It is on the Fertagus line to Setúbal from Roma-Areeiro Station.
The station is light, clean and spacious. It was designed in concrete and glass by Portuguese architect Motta Guedes. There are also art works by Charteres de Almeida and Nadir Afonso. Coina Station opened in 2004.

Coina Rail Connections
Coina is the fifth station on the Fertagus Line south of the Tagus River coming from Lisbon. The previous station is Fogueteiro.
The Fertagus Line's northern terminus is at Roma-Areeiro and the next stop is Entrecampos. The line then heads south west to Sete Rios and Campolide before crossing the Tagus to Pragal and the southern terminus at Setúbal Station.
The first train on weekdays towards Lisbon departs from Coina at 5.33 am with the last train at 12.43 am. The first train to Setúbal Station leaves Coina at 6.17 am with the last train at 1.17 am. Journey time to Setúbal is 24 minutes.
There is a reduced timetable on weekends and public holidays.


Local Buses From Coina
Fertagus also operates Sulfertagus, a fleet of buses running out of the following stations south of the River Tagus: Pragal, Corroios, Foros de Amora, Fogueteiro, and Coina.
Bus 1 N runs from Coina to Quinta do Conde.
Bus 2 N runs from Coina to Vila Nogueira de Azeitão.
Transportes Colectivos Do Barreiro services 6 to J. J. Fernandes, 9 to Praça da Amizade and 16 to Terminal Fluvial Barreiro leave from Coina.

Coina Railway Station Facilities
The station has a ticket counter and ticket machines for Fertagus.
Bicycle parking is available and the station is also a good place to find a taxi. There are two car parks at the station providing parking for over 1,000 vehicles in total.
Close to the station is the Coina Retail shopping mall. Within the station is a cafe/bar serving snacks, coffee, wine and beer.
