This is a photo of a quiet and tree-lined street in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
The statue below is of Icarus on a roundabout on Estrada Monumental. It is dedicated to the construction workers who lost their lives building tunnels and bridges on the island of Madeira. The full name of the statue is Monumento ao Trabalhador and it is the work of Ricardo Velosa. Another of Velosa's famous statues on the island is the CR7 statue outside the CR7 Museum near the marina.
