Lisbon Graffiti - the city of Lisbon is "decorated" by an astounding amount of "street art" in certain districts. The funicular ride on the Elevador da Glória is well-known for its graffiti in the tightly packed alleys of the area. Lisbon's graffiti divides opinion, but in an effort to control and increase the quality of the city's "street art" the municipal authorities have set aside zones or "urban art galleries" and have painted over some heavily tagged areas in Bairro Alto.
