Wind Power in Sines
This image shows a wind farm in Sines in western Portugal on the Atlantic Coast. Lacking significant energy sources such as coal, natural gas or oil, Portugal has invested significantly in wind and solar power. Portugal is a sunny place and has strong winds on its Atlantic Coast. The government has even managed to power the whole country on alternative energy in a recent 4-day trial.
