The Igreja Matriz de Ansião (Parish Church of Ansião) in central Portugal is a historically significant church dating back to 1593, built to replace an older primitive church. The building features a restrained, classic exterior with a stone sculpture of its patroness, Nossa Senhora da Conceição (Our Lady of the Conception), positioned above the main entrance.

Inside, the space is structured around three naves separated by elegant arches resting on Tuscan columns, and it is adorned with stunning gilded wood altars (talha dourada) alongside notable religious art, including depictions of Saint Anianus and a Renaissance Calvary.

Ansião itself is a town of just over 11,000 people located in the district of Leiria in the historical region of Beira Litoral. The small town lies on the Camino de Santiago and has the usual history of occupation of settlements in this part of central Portugal by Romans, Visigoths, and Moors.

Address: R. Conselheiro António José da Silva 16, 3240-143 Ansião.
