Sete Rios Station (Estação de Sete Rios)

Sete Rios Station in northern Lisbon is the main bus station for long-distance buses to destinations all over Portugal. Many local Lisbon city buses also stop at Sete Rios.

Sete Rios is also on the blue line of the Lisbon Metro. The metro station is called Jardim Zoológico. The Sete Rios train station has trains to Faro, Setubal and other destinations. Sete Rios is also a good place to find a taxi.

Sete Rios Bus Station (Terminal Rodoviário de Lisboa)

Sete Rios has long-distance Rede Expressos buses (www.rede-expressos.pt) to Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Coimbra, Covilha, Porto, Guarda, Fatima, Elvas, Evora, Viseu and most other destinations in Portugal. Large cities have multiple departures each day, smaller towns and villages have fewer departures and may require a change of bus.

Eva (www.eva-bus.com) runs most services to the Algarve including Faro, Lagos, Olhao, Monte Gordo and Vila Real de Santo Antonio on the Spanish border. There are also international bus services to Seville in Spain.

The Sete Rios bus terminal can seem a little chaotic at first but functions well. There is a cafe and a convenience store in the bus station.

Local Buses From Sete Rios

The AeroBus#2 to Lisbon Airport stops at Sete Rios and runs hourly. There are a number of other bus services to and from Sete Rios including the #202 and #758 to Cais do Sodre, the #755 to Poço Bispo, the #701 to Campo Grande, the #716 to Benfica, the #726 to Sapadores, the #731 to Moscavide Centro, the #746 to Marquês Pombal, the #754 to Campo Pequeno and the #768 to Cidade Universitária.

Sete Rios Railway Station

Frequent trains from Sete Rios run to Setubal across the River Tagus operated by Fertagus.

There are also several trains a day from Sete Rios to Faro in the Algarve (with connections to Lagos to the west and all stations to Vila Real de Santo Antonio to the east) taking a little over 3 hours to Faro via Tunes.

The train to Evora with connections on to Beja departs from Oriente Station and stops on the way at Sete Rios. Also from Sete Rios are trains to Mira Sintra-Meleças, Torres Vedras, Obidos, Caldas da Rainha and Leiria on the Linha do Oeste.

Hotels Near Sete Rios Station

Sete Rios is some way from the historic centre of Lisbon, located near Lisbon Zoo and the business area, though reachable by metro in about 20 minutes. Hotels near Sete Rios tend to be at the higher end of the budget scale and include the 4-star Corinthia Hotel Lisbon, the Hotel Mercure Lisboa, the Sana Malhoa and the Hotel Novotel Lisboa. The Lisbon Central Mosque is nearby on the way to São Sebastião metro station.
