The Portuguese national airline TAP flies to the UK (London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast), Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Stuttgart), France (Paris, Marseilles, Nice), Switzerland (Geneva, Zurich), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid), Italy (Bologna, Milan, Rome, Turin), Belgium, Sweden, Holland, Greece, Ireland, Luxemburg and to the USA.
Most other national carriers have scheduled flights in to Portugal and other destinations in Europe from a variety of cities including Air France, British Airways (BA), KLM and Virgin Atlantic (flights to London where onward connections to Portugal can be made). From the UK there are scheduled direct flights to Portugal from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester airports.
The main domestic carrier is Portugalia Airlines (PGA), a subsidiary of TAP, with a number of international flights, too, to France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.

Budget Flights to Portugal
Both EasyJet and RyanAir fly to Portugal, EasyJet has flights to Lisbon Airport, Porto Airport (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport), Faro Airport and Funchal. RyanAir fly to Porto and Faro. Monarch Airlines is something of a Portugal specialist and has flights to Faro from Manchester Airport, Birmingham, London Gatwick and London Luton.
Air Berlin has cheap flights to Portugal (Lisbon, Faro & Oporto) to London and many other destinations in Europe.
germanwings - the no-frills subsidiary of Lufthansa has flights to Lisbon from Cologne and Stuttgart and flights to Faro from Cologne.
Flights to Portugal from North America & Asia
From Asia Singapore Airlines has flights to London and Frankfurt where onward connections to Portugal can be made. JAL flies from Japan to Madrid and Barcelona.
From North America there are connections to New York, Newark, Los Angeles and Boston.
Most scheduled flights fly into Lisbon though many charter flights use Faro for the Algarve coast. It is possible to book flights flying in to Lisbon and departing via Porto or vice versa with TAP.
